VMS Slow-Mo Extender for airbrush acrylic

VMS Slow-Mo Extender is dedicated for airbrush, simply mix it with your favourite thinner and enjoy longer open time of your paint. With Slow-Mo drying extender you will be able to mitigate all tip drying related issues. During airbrushing the airflow makes paint dry much more faster, that's why this products comes as high potency concentrate. Typical usage is between 5 and 15% in your thinner which translates to 25-100% longer open times. Please click the bottle photo for details.

This product is compatible with acrylics by Vallejo®, Humbrol®, Tamiya®, Revell®, Model Master®, Italeri® Gunze® (only H series), Pactra® and equivalents. Not suited for solvent-based acrylics (Gunze® C series) and enamels!

Product FAQ

How much will the open time be altered by the retarder?

Usual increase in open time is 50-100% depending on the percentage of retarded added to the the mix, remember - you add the extender to the thinner first!

 How much retarder can I add to the paint?

You can add between 5-15% of extender to your thinner. Introduce more product when the ambient temperatures are high.  

 Paint is drying too slow I want to paint another layer!

Use hair drier to speed up the process. Just remember to keep up a distance of 20-30 cm and use low setting. 

 Is the extender compatible with my paint?

Slow-Mo extenders can be used with any leading brand of water-based acrylic paint. All that matters is that it's a water-based paint type. The product is compatible with acrylics by Vallejo®, Humbrol®, Tamiya®, Revell®, Model Master®, Italeri® Gunze® (only H series), Pactra® and equivalents. Not suited for solvent-based acrylics (Gunze® C series)!
