From Gundam Seed comes the Buster Gundam released as a 1/100 Master Grade model kit by Bandai. In the anime, the Buster Gundam was stolen by Dearka Elsman, along with some ZAFT commandos, from a secret base, in one of the colonies operated by the Earth Alliance.

The Buster Gundam is known for being a long range bombardment unit with the presence of the large gun that is supported by its frame. It is a sister ship to the Strike Gundam of Gundam Seed protagonist, Kira Yamato
