Zvezda 1/48 IL-2 Shturmovik (Mod. 1943) Soviet Two-Seat Attack Aircraft model kit

This is  an injection-plastic aircraft model kit. 

The IL-2 was one of the best bombers of World War II; more than 36,000 were produced -- the highest number in military aircraft history. It was called "The Flying Tank" because it had heavy armor and was difficult to shoot down. The double-seat type was produced in 1943, and is known as the IL-2M. This model kit from Zvezda features some newly molded parts, and comes with decals for three Soviet Air Force versions and a pilot figure.
