This item is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Volks' newest SWS (Super Wing Series) kit of the F-4E Phantom II is of the early type with the inside of the leading edge flap fixed in place, as on the J type! In order to accurately express the "long nose" Phantom, Volks has conducted new research on the actual machine, and have now completely redesigned the airframe to give the kit its optimum refined shape. The 6-barreled 20mm Vulcan gun M61A1 is mounted to the underside of the nose, and the fairing's characteristic flowing shape is accurately represented. This kit also features the world's first reproduction of the tilt pylon, which opens at an outward angle, and a carefully detailed J79-17 General Electric engine.
