1/35 King Tiger Sd.Kfz.182 Henschel Turret Pz.Abt.505 w/Zimmerit

Takom brings us another wonderfully detailed kit, this time the Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger!  This boxing of the Takom King Tiger kit comes with what is commonly referred to as the ‘Henschel Turret’ as used by the Pz.Abt.505, 505th Heavy Panzer Battalion.  The 505th used King Tigers with Zimmerit attached to the armor like other King Tigers of the era except for two patches on the sides of the turret.  These patches were left without Zimmerit so the battalion could paint there markings on the turret.  This detail is accurately molded by Takom and only available in this kit.

Takom has done their research and molded the armor for this model in scale accurate thickness.  This kit also features a full interior!  Parts come molded in grey plastic with a few bits of clear and the barrel is molded in one piece.  Tracks are individual links also molded in grey.  Photo-etched metal detail parts and decals for two marking options are also included!
