Describes the Gustav’s combat debut over the North Sea and English Channel, the actions over the Eastern Front, North Africa and Italy together with the heavy battles against U.S. four-engined bombers in the Defense of the Reich. The operations beyond the Polar Circle are also covered. The author uncoveres the fates of particular fighter units as well as individual pilots who fought in them.
