Platz 1/144 US Navy Virtual Enemy F-16N Fighting Falcon Top Gun (set of 2)

The F-16 Fighting Falcon was developed as a fighter aircraft for the U.S. Air Force, and is deployed around the world. It first flew in 1974, and is characterized by a blended-wing body that integrates the fuselage and main wings. In addition, the practical use of the fly-by-wire control system, which was innovative at the time, also attracted attention. It started operating in the United States in 1978, but has undergone repeated improvements and updates since then; even now it maintains and demonstrates the latest functions and performance. The F-16N type has been introduced since 1988 in the aggressor unit that plays the role of a virtual enemy aircraft in the U.S. Navy's air combat training. The aircraft equivalent to Block 30 has undergone modifications such as changing the radar and removing the machine gun and mission operation capabilities.

This model kit from Platz reproduces the F-16N Fighting Falcon as seen in the virtual enemy aggressor unit of the U.S. Navy. The parts are made by F-Toys, and you'll get parts for two aircraft. The body accurately expresses the blended-wing body shape by dividing it into upper and lower parts; the landing gear are also delicately reproduced to enhance the reality of the finish. Decals for three U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School "Top Gun" versions are included, and three types of camouflage paint can be used: gray/blue, brown, and light gray/dark green.
