The pilots of this unit are familiar with both American military tactics and those of the virtual enemy; Top Gun is known as an elite unit with highly talented pilots. The F-14 used by Top Gun is shown here conducting battle training by reproducing the maneuvers of the enemy's MiG-29 and Su-27 aircraft. Some of Top Gun's F-14s wear Russian-style paint.
