The Su-24 tactical bomber was designed by Sukhoi OKB. It's an all-weather, low-level attack aircraft known by the NATO codename "Fencer." The aircraft has a conventional aerodynamic configuration with a variable-sweep shoulder wing, side-mounted intakes and a two-seat cockpit. The first production aircraft flew on 31 December 1971. The total production of the Su-24 was about 1,400 planes, and the aircraft is in service with the Russian Air Force and Navy, and the air forces of Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Libya, Syria and Ukraine.
The Su-24M is the upgraded version of the Fencer-B/C; the prototype is the T-6M-8 which took its first flight on 29 June 1977. The production Su-24M were accepted into service in 1983. The new Su-24M Fencer-D is 0.76m longer than the former versions, the reshaped shorter radome was added and a series of new equipment was applied, such as the Kaira-24 laser designator/TV system, which offer the aircraft the ability of carrying laser/TV guided weapons.
Molded in gray and clear plastic; decals are included. Will be 31.3cm long with a wingspan of 24.5cm when built.
