This item is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

The B-17G, one of the most famous aircraft of WWII, is now here as an amazingly detailed model in massive 1/32 scale! Just how massive is it? Well, when assembled it will measure 70.7cm long with a wingspan of 98.9cm. Now that's massive! And size isn't the only attraction here...this kit features stunning detail inside and out (577 parts!), with fine recessed panel lines and rivet detail on the outer surfaces, excellent detail in the Wright Cyclone R-1820 engines, and plenty of detail throughout the cockpit, bombardier's station, radio room, bomb bay, landing gear bays, waist gun postions, and tail gunner's position (this kit features the Cheyenne tail gun arrangement).

The kit can be built gear up or gear down, and the bomb bay doors can be assembled open or closed (bombs included). All flying surfaces are separate parts and can be assembled in any position you'd like. The upper part of the fuselage is a separate piece from the cockpit back to the radio room, so you could leave it uncemented if you want to show off the interior detail after assembly.

Photo-etched detail parts are provided for the crew seat belts and intake grills, and markings are provided for one aircraft: Milk Wagon

Massive kits like this always beg the question, "how am I going to display this monster?" ...and HK Models has the answer with a clever wall-mount display hanger that will let you hang the completed model on any wall, with the wall acting as the "ground" onto which the main gear and tail gear will rest (wall mount can only be used if you build the bomb bay doors in the open position). That's one way of doing it! Of course, you could also hang it from the ceiling in a dramatic in-flight pose! Just be sure to use strong anchoring and line...this big model is not light!

Don't miss this chance to grab what may be the kit of the century...a massive and stunningly detailed kit of the ever-popular B-17G, in 1/32 scale!
